Noah Kagan talks about the growth of his new startup HaulDrop and how they’ve iterated multiple times.
“I wanted to walk you through the ins and outs of the most recent one — hauldrop.com, a site to promote and find dope products. HINT – the road to massive growth is rocky. Be prepared to prototype, pivot, and iterate a LOT.”
This is a good look into the mind of a successful entrepreneur.
“Pivots are an integral part of the entrepreneurial process. Whether you’re pivoting in the early days because you haven’t yet found product-market fit, or you’re pivoting by reinventing yourself later on, all companies – if they’re going to become and stay successful – are going to have to pivot.”
“Every successful technology company has repeatedly reinvented itself. Apple went from Apple II to the Macintosh to iOS. Microsoft went from MS-DOS to Windows to Office to many new reinventions, including Azure. Netflix went from mailing DVDs to streaming video. Most don’t think of these shifts as pivots, but that’s precisely what they were.”
